He graduated from Sincan Imam Hatip High School in 2002 and from Ankara University Faculty of Theology in 2006. He completed his master's degree in 2009. He worked as an imam-hatip for a while in 2007. Later, he continued his studies within the scope of the Islam with Hadith Project of the Presidency of Religious Affairs between 2007 and 2012. In 2012, he was appointed as a research assistant to the Department of Sufism at Çukurova University Faculty of Theology. He was a visiting researcher in Jordan for seven months in 2014. He completed his doctorate in 2015. He worked at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University between 2018 and 2023. He received the title of associate professor in 2019 and professor in 2024. He currently works as a faculty member in the Department of Sufism at the Faculty of Theology at Ankara Social Sciences University. He is married and has two children.
